On April ninth, it was announced that Wonho from the Kpop group Monsta X would be furthering his solo career as he has joined HIGHLINE Entertainment. Fans from all around the world shared their feelings regarding this unbelievable news. Seeing how this was the news many Monbebe (Monsta X fans) had been waiting for, we decided to reach out to a couple fans to get their thoughts on the news. We posed three questions, 'How did you feel when you found out about Wonho signing with HIGHLINE Entertainment?', ' What is something you are excited/anxious about for his future as a solo artist?, and 'If you were able to say one thing to Wonho, what would you say?'. Each fan had their own thoughts but one feeling that was common among them all was the happiness they felt to have Wonho back.

" Hearing the news about Wonho made me excited. We finally got what we needed, and that was him. Hearing that he would pursue a solo career was bittersweet. On one hand, Hoseok wouldn't be with Monsta X anymore, but on the other, he probably has more creative freedom with his career. I was definitely a mess, feeling like this one time something I worked hard for, actually made a difference in someone's life. I was ecstatic!"

"It was a little bittersweet. Of course I had hoped that if he returned he'd come home to Monsta X. However, I always said I would support whatever Wonho decided to do in the end, even if he decided to walk away. We finally get to hear Wonho's sound and find out who he is as an artist. When he was writing/producing before, it was with Monsta X in mind. Now we have the opportunity to know the artist Wonho.
I would tell Wonho that I'm proud of the artist Wonho and the person Lee Hoseok. We have all done things in the past that we aren't proud of, but it's how you reflect upon those decisions and who you are in the present moment that determines your future. It's okay to mess up, but your mistakes don't define you. Wonho is an inspiration to a lot of people, and I truly hope he has felt how loved he is in the past 162 days. In the past he has said he is undeserving of our love, but I hope moving forward he knows deserves to love and be loved. I hope we can continue down this road for a long time together!"

" I am so excited for his new songs! He is a great lyricist and a wonderful producer! He always mentioned sharing his own music, I am looking forward to it-- I already have the handkerchiefs for my tears. Something I am anxious about is public reception. I know that the people who support him are much more, but even so, I don't want him to read and focus on negative comments because he doesn't deserve that.
Wonho, welcome home. We fight side by side and win in the end. I am very proud of you and grateful for all the love we all received during this fight. You are an amazing artist who deserves the best in the world. You not only taught me to be resilient , but also not to let my past define me. We can all be better and we will all do better, together.
I am looking forward to your upcoming projects and interactions with Monsta X because we are all one family."

" It was like breathing and holding your breath at the same time, conflicting. Not because I had never considered Wonho goning solo, but because I have and I decided long ago that I would support and of his endeavors. This also means that my tour fees just went up, since I had already bookmarked Wonho's tour in my brains future concert schedule. I was very happy about his solo career decision and even more proud of this man and what he hass been able to accomplish. This was all a no-brainer to me. I think that when you truly care about and support someone, you can respect the decisions they make."

Emi/21
"When I found out about Wonho signing with HIGHLINE Ent. I felt a very confusing mixture of happiness and sadness. We  all had hope he would return to the group (who knows what his plans are. We have seen artists under a different label be in the same group while being a 'soloist'.
I'm anxious that the company isn't prepared to protect Wonho. Can you blame me? After everything he has been through the last thing I want is to see another company fail him. He deserves better. I'm excited to see what he has in store for us. Nobody loves us quite like Wonho does.
If I could say one thing to Wonho, it would be, "We all fall down and we get nasty scrapes and bruises. That's what makes us human. All I could every ask if you is to simply be that. Human. You have shown the world what an idol SHOULD be. Strong, caring, selfless, and a leader. Let's start from zero, okay?"

As many of the fans featured in this article have touched upon, making mistakes comes with growing. If you don't fall, how would you know how to get up? This situation is bigger than a music genre, it shows that fighting for what you love, no matter how long and how painful it may be, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. We wish Wonho success with his solo career as well as other members of Monsta X as they continue to climb to new heights.
