Dyani Robles We headed to Charlotte North Carolina to witness Bang Yongguk’s first solo US tour. Fans were lined up since the early hours of the morning ensuring their spot for this show. Before the show started, B.A.P fan whistles and light sticks could be seen and heard. It is always fun to see the different decorations fans add to their light sticks to make them their own. We talked to fans about how they came to know and love Bang Yongguk and many expressed that they were fans of B.A.P since their debut in 2012 and their love for the group carried over to their support of the individual members projects. It was so heartwarming to hear so many fans have carried over and been supporting him for over ten years. The show opened up with a DJ set which had the crowd vibing out before Bang Yongguk hit the stage. In no time at all Bang Yongguk started the show and the crowd erupted with cheers. From the first to the last song, fans could be heard singing along to the Korean and English lyrics. The set list was put together very well with a beautiful balance of slower songs as well as songs with higher energy and tempo. Another aspect that truly emerged fans into this experience was the usage of lights and color throughout the different stages. Seeing how Bang Yongguk’s most recent release was named, ‘The Colors of Love’, it was amazing to see how the choice of lighting accompanied each song to deepen the feeling of each. Bang Yongguk took time between songs to talk to fans and express his appreciation for their love and support. Promising the fans of Charlotte that he would be back again to perform for them. The show ended with a bang as he came into the crowd to give high fives and interact with the crowd. Immediately after the show ended, fans lined up for the meet and greet session. Each fan was able to take a selfie with Bang Yongguk. We had the meet and greet opportunity as well and was totally encapsulated by how sweet his interactions were with each fan. As frequent concert goers who are no strangers to post show benefits, it was encouraging to see that there was no rushing of fans during this time. Enabling them to enjoy the short moment with him before heading home. Bang Yongguk blazed through North America while creating life long memories with fans. He ended his activities in the US by stopping by Hello82 in LA where he engaged with fans during a Q&A session as well as cultivated precious memories during the fan sign. We wish him all the best as he continues his solo activities!
