Dyani Robles  It’s amazing to see people who were born to be on stage. This was evident when seeing KARD perform in D.C. during their second stop of their ‘Playground’ 2023 world tour. Members Somin, BM, Jiwoo, and J.Seph started the night with explosive stages including a performance of their latest title track ‘ICKY’. The energy throughout the night could only be described as electric. The night continued with solo performances as well as unit stages. The group’s energy did not falter during any point of the show. The interactions between the group and the crowd were great to see as it showcased the bond between the two. It was as though two friends were meeting after being apart for some time. You could feel the gratitude they had for each other which only heightened the experience. Kard invited the crowd to join in on their TikTok dance challenge to their song ‘ICKY’ during the encore. Every fan could be seen participating and enjoying every minute of this moment. I had the opportunity to meet and take a photo with the group and they were very approachable and excited to see their fans in a more intimate setting. Being able to talk one on one with the artist (even if it was for a short duration of time) fans were able to express their love and appreciation for each member during the post show meet and greet. As someone that has wanted to experience KARD in concert for a while now, it was amazing to finally be able to not only see them perform but capture those moments. I am excited to attend future shows and events with the knowledge that they will be as fun and entertaining as this night was.
