Fans, officially named WENEE byWonho himself, were first given the news on August 9th when he posted on Twitter the arrival of his long awaited debut. After receiving the disheartening news of Wonho's departure from beloved group, Monsta X in 2019, Monsta X fans were curious as to what the next step would be in his career. 'Losing You' truly encapsulates the kind of person and artist Wonho is. Shocking fans with an all english track, the soloist accompanied the smooth beats with sentimental lyrics such as, "Baby, I would go to war for you", "Losing me is better than losing you", "Cuz anytime or place, I'd be your shield", and many more. Immediately after the song dropped, Twitter was flooded with crying fans and trending hashtags showing support for the person they had been waiting for almost a year. As a fan of Monsta X and Wonho, when I listened and internalized the lyrics, it became more clear how much emotion and effort he had put into this song. As many fans are aware, Wonho is a very selfless person, he would rather smile and make sure everyone is okay even if he is hurting himself. He wants to be that shield for his fans when they are going through tough times. This is only the beginning for the beloved artist who has faced adversity and still persevered through the hard times, showing fans and the world that he will not be stopped by any inconviences. Wonho is writing a new ending for himselfand we are excited to take this journey with him.
