This past weekend we had the pleasure to attend Dok2's show in New York. Dok2 is a well-known South Korean rapper, producer, and co-founder of Illionare Records. Has an abundance of albums, features, and tv show appearances. Dok2 had just finished his European leg of his tour and was already a couple show into his US tour. The show started with an up-tempo performance by New Jersey native Audrey. Unaware of her before the show, it was a pleasant surprise to hear her music style. At the young age of twenty, this talented artist has so much room to grow and build on her already abundant talent. We are excited to see what she comes out with in the future. There were a couple more openers and special guests that graced the stage. However, the intensity of the crowd doubled when it was time for Dok2 to perform. Looking around during his set, the people in the crowd varied from dancing and vibing to jumping around and cheering. Having this be the first time seeing Dok2 perform, we were excited to see how well he maneuvered the stage and engaged with the crowd. His stage presence was off the chart and kept the crowd entertained the whole night. We would highly reccomend attending one of his shows if given the opportunity, you will not be dissapointed. It was very nice to see how Dok2 and Socialitemusic gave a spotlight to up and coming artists. That is something you don’t see a lot now a days so the change was nice to see.
