Deborah Rodriguez Multi-talented singer-songwriter Woodz (Cho Seung Youn) set off on his inaugural world tour, OO-LI AND, in November. With 8 stops across the United States, Woodz and his band graced the stage at Atlanta's Gas South Arena. As a soloist from boy group UNIQ and a former member of Produce X 101’s X1, Woodz boasts a diverse discography, spanning pop, rock, hip hop, and R&B. Since his debut as Woodz in 2018, his popularity has soared, earning him a coveted spot in global editorial playlists across several music platforms, such as Spotify and Apple Music.
Excited Woodz fans, also known as Moodz, gathered outside the venue, swapping fan-made goods and photo cards, eagerly anticipating the unforgettable show ahead. Prior to the main event, VIP package holders enjoyed an intimate soundcheck session with Woodz, featuring snippets of non-setlist songs and exclusive insights into the upcoming performance. As the lights dimmed and a powerful instrumental filled the air, Woodz and his band made a captivating entrance onto the red-lit stage filled with dramatic fog. Fans screamed in excitement as Woodz opened the night with two of his most powerful hits, "Busted" and "Hijack." These pop-rock songs had Moodz jumping and head banging at every chorus. Woodz introduced himself to Moodz and welcomed his fans to the show after his performance of his title track “Love Me Harder.” Woodz continued to rock on the show with more of his hits, and then took his turn at the guitar to perform his new upcoming digital single “Amnesia.” Amnesia will be released on December 18th, 2023 along with the track “Behind” as Woodz’s final release before his military enlistment in January 2024. After several energetic stages, Woodz slowed it down by performing some of his songs requested by Moodz, including his English track “Multiply.” He also treated the crowd to a special cover of Michael Jackson’s “Love Never Felt So Good.” One of the most anticipated stages of the night was Woodz’s performance of his scream-along track “Drowning” which was a very popular release worldwide. Another much anticipated stage was Woodz’s live performance of “Journey.” Moodz sang along with Woodz to the song while holding up blue and orange heart cutouts in front of their flashlights creating a beautiful and colorful crowd ocean for their idol which caught Woodz by surprise. Both Moodz and Woodz shared a lot of emotion during this set, and some Moodz were even brought to tears. The night could not end without an encore which was rather unique by being an electrifying and energetic encore performance than an emotional one. Woodz jumped up and down and ran left and right on stage interacting with Moodz as he concluded the show by performing “Ready to Fight.” After giving his fans an incredible night to remember, Woodz left the stage with a smile on his face with the promise to return to meet his Moodz once again.
