Ilanna Schlehuber K-pop rookies BXB have returned with their 2nd single album Chapter 2. Wings with title track Airplane. Short for “Boy By Brush”, BXB is a multi-talented group under the Wolfburn label. Comprised of vocalists Jihun and Hamin, rapper Siwoo, and rapper/dancer Hyunwoo, BXB is able to show fans boundless talents through their music. Join us as The B.E.L.U. Lineup attends the press conference for their latest release. The quartet enthusiastically responded to questions about their music with Hamin describing “Airplane” as “a pop genre song mixed with gospel genre.” Fans will be able to hear, and see the ethereal qualities of the track through the music video which Hamin details as “escaping the boring daily life like a carousel, spreading both wings wide and flying like an airplane.” When asked by us what their favorite parts of “Airplane” are, Hamin briefly serenenaded us with part of the intro as it is his personal favorite. We followed that by acknowledging the popularity of dance challenges in the K-pop world and wondered if there were any artists they’d like to film one with specifically.Siwoo fervidly replied with BooSeokSoon, a unit derived from the group, Seventeen. The unit comprises members Seungkwan, DK, and Hoshi. He wants “to work with seniors BSS because I think they are a powerful and energetic group unit, and I think they will do really well with the challenge we have for “The Black Cat Nero”.” “The Black Cat Nero” is BXB’s pre-release cover and reinterpretation of the iconic Italian children's song "Volevo Un Gatto Nero". Their album also includes track “Found You”, an upbeat addition to the album that shows off the member’s strengths vocally. When asked about their goals, Hyunwoo let us know that “if there is an opportunity to promote an album in North America, I would definitely like to do an album promotion in North America.” A nod to that support from afar, Jihun later added that he “would like to express my sincere gratitude to our overseas fans” when asked how he felt knowing they had international fans despite the language barrier. Before signing off, Hamin left a message for fans letting them know he wants to “spend a bright and hopeful 2024 together with BXB stages and songs.” The future is bright for BXB, and we’re excited to see what they have in store for us down the road!
