This past weekend I attended PLT’s first US tour ‘WE GO HOLIC: In USA’. I traveled to New Jersey unsure of what to expect since this was their first stop on the tour. Putting my curiosity aside, I knew the show was going to be nothing short of amazing. Having listened to PLT’s music (as a group & solo) there were multiple songs I was excited to see performed live. For those that might not know PLT, they are a five member group consisting of Moti, June, Jinwoo, Gaho, and Villain. The group is under Planetarium Records. Aside from the group, each artist has their own music where you can hear their individual flavor in their songs. When I arrived to the venue, there was a line that wrapped around the building of fans waiting to be let in. It was stunning to see how many fans had come out to see them. The stupefying energy from the crowd outside was matched and even heightened as I walked into the venue. When the first artist, Gaho, came on the stage, the already immense energy from the crowd reached a new level. It was clear to see how excited fans were to finally be able to see PLT live. Gaho expressed to the fans how nervous he was after the first song but despite that he still put on a show stopping performance. Following suit, each member's solo stage captivated their fans. It was amusing to see the different reactions from the crowd and artist during each performance. Gaho, Jinwoo, and June gave more of a mellow vibe while Villian and Moti brought more of a hiphop inspired vibe. After all of the solo stages ended, the boys came on stage as a whole and performed their group songs to close out the concert. Through out the course of the concert, each artist took their time to interact with all fans no matter where they were located in the crowd. Each member took multiple fans phones to record themselves as well as signing albums fans bought during the last stage. The nervousness the boys had expressed at the start of the show began to disappear and was replaced with an energy I can only describe as ‘comfort’. It was the boys first time performing in New Jersey but by the end of the show, it felt as though they were friends you see on a daily basis. I truly enjoy attending concerts where the artist treats the fans as their friends. New Jersey was only the beginning, I can’t wait to see how they will continue to grow during each stop of the tour as well as afterwards with their own music.
