Since their debut in 2020, P1Harmony has steadily carved out a unique space in the K-pop landscape with their genre-blending sound, sharp choreography, and powerful lyricism. Known for seamlessly fusing hip-hop, R&B, and pop with socially conscious themes, the six-member group—Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Intak, Soul, and Jongseob—continues to push musical boundaries. With their latest 8th mini album, DUH!, P1Harmony turns up the volume on their playful, rebellious spirit, delivering a project that’s bold, experimental, and unapologetically themselves.

1. DUH! (Ilanna S.)
Like the hook of any good piece of writing, “DUH!” sets out to grab the listeners attention as the opener and title track of P1Harmony’s 8th mini album “DUH!” Written by members Jiung, Intak, and Jongseob alongside Han Seong Ho, the sextet delivers clever lyrical moments unique to P1Harmony. Intak intrinsically raps “Everyone except me is the same potayto potahto tomayto tomahto they all look the same” letting audiences know they’re consistently looking to set themselves apart from anyone else. Jongseob confidently intertwines ingenious word-play and delivery into his verses, introducing this verse with “DUH or minus” with the “duh” sounding like the word ‘plus’ in Korean.

While “DUH!” is heavily rap-centered (something the group does effortlessly), the vocalists give us a masterclass in singing. Keeho, Theo, and Soul perfected the pre-choruses and ad-libs, seamlessly alternating parts. Assuredly singing “Our stage never got any attention. Must be surprising cause I got it like that”, they let their fans (P1ece) know they believe in themselves just as much as them. “DUH!” is the ideal title track for a group who is unafraid to explore different sounds and genres. P1Harmony offers fans an experimental hit with playful beats, dynamic verses, and bold lyrical choices. “DUH!” shows fans old and new who P1Harmony is musically while giving them a glimpse into a future that’s undoubtedly bright. All-rounder Jiung closes out the song declaring “You already know who it is. Not gonna repeat myself. Light work, DUH!”

2. Pretty Boy (Deborah R.)
“Pretty Boy” opens with an irresistible Latin-infused beat that immediately sets a lively, infectious tone. Co-written by Jiung, Intak, and Jongseob, and co-produced by Keeho, the track exudes the confident charm P1Harmony is known for. Lyrically, it plays with the idea of standing out, not just in looks, but through undeniable talent and individuality. The group leans into their “pretty boy” persona with swagger, crafting a message that radiates self-assurance and effortless appeal. It’s a feel-good anthem that makes it impossible not to dance along.

3. Murmur (Dyani R.)
P1Harmony kicks off their track “Murmur” with moody, dramatic piano chords that quickly evolve into a hard-hitting beat, laying the groundwork for an explosive opening rap verse from Intak. The energy only builds from there, with the chorus carried by Keeho, Jiung, and Intak. Keeho and Jiung’s smooth, emotive vocals intertwine seamlessly to deliver a powerful melodic hook, while Intak’s signature ad-libs add a dynamic edge.

Infused with jazz and funk elements, “Murmur” radiates a confident, almost dismissive coolness—one that perfectly matches the song’s lyrical message. Lines like “Don’t even hear it no more” and “Murmuring about me, murmuring about me. Mm, I hate these guys” signal that the group is unbothered by outside noise. They’ve tuned out criticism and distractions, choosing instead to focus on their own path and success.
With “Murmur,” P1Harmony makes it clear: the chatter around them has faded into the background, reduced to nothing more than a murmur.

4. Flashy (Deborah R.)
“Flashy,” is a full-throttle performance piece made for the stage. With writing credits to Jiung, Intak, and Jongseob, and co-production by Jiung, the track blends electronic elements with gritty rock undertones and a pulsing bassline. It’s a bold declaration of P1Harmony’s confidence and authenticity, the very traits that make their performances so magnetic. Each rapper delivers a distinct, impactful verse, but it’s the vocalists who steal the show here, with piercing, siren-like melodies that soar over the high-energy production. You could say that "Flashy" is a statement for P1Harmony.

5. Over And Over (Dyani R.)
“Over And Over,” the fifth track on P1Harmony’s latest EP DUH!, wastes no time grabbing your attention. Blazing horns and pounding drums hit instantly, demanding just two things: listen and move. It’s bold, it’s brassy, and it sets the stage for the group’s signature blend of confidence and charisma. Jiung and Jongseob kick things off with punchy rap verses that set a high-energy tone, staying true to P1Harmony’s dynamic style. As the track shifts into the pre-chorus, Theo and Soul step in to temper the intensity, layering in smooth vocals that ride effortlessly over the driving beat, adding emotional balance to the song’s bold production.

“Over And Over” thrives on its experimental sound and defiant message. With lyrics like “can’t nobody keep us down,” it positions itself as an anthem for anyone who’s ever had to fight for a second chance. It's a classic underdog narrative—fall down, rise up, and come back stronger every single time. As the title suggests, P1Harmony isn’t going anywhere. No matter the setbacks, they’re ready to rise over and over again.

6. Work (Maria T.)
Coming in hot with the last track of the album, we hear a familiar cadence that was previously presented in their “A hero should be heroic” video, the first look and sound we got for this upcoming comeback. Previously only hearing a little bit of the pre-chorus song by Theo, Keeho’s opening verse and Jongseob’s pulling tagline “this party you can’t find nowhere”, we get to see how much of a party anthem “Work” is. Leaning more towards the members rap side alongside this hyper-pop track, there’s a mix of fast paced and chilled verses that slide along with the groovy pre-chorus. This track, although very experimental much like the rest of “DUH!” in terms of sound and genre, the cool “superhero” confidence still shines.  With lyrics like, “work it, break it, make it shiny like a diamond” and “i’m going, i’m pulling up to this show no matter what” you get a shining confidence to both work and party with no limits. Co-produced by Jongseob, “Work” keeps the energy lasting perfect for a night out.

ITZY (있지), a five-member South Korean girl group under JYP Entertainment unleashes their ninth mini album “GOLD” after successful world tour “BORN TO BE” in August. Members Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, Yuna and Lia, who recently came back from a 10 month hiatus, are back and ready to shine with a new sound with double title tracks “GOLD” and “Imaginary Friend.

“GOLD” features 11 tracks, including six new songs and updated versions of tracks from their previous album, “BORN TO BE,” now incorporating main vocalist Lia. While the group acknowledges that their world has changed, they remain true to themselves, allowing their fans, MIDZYs to appreciate the familiar shine and uniqueness of the girls in this October comeback.

The album begins with ITZY's first title track, “GOLD,” which features a hip-hop-infused beat and intense electric guitar sounds. This track captures the emotions of meeting someone who changes your life, evoking a feeling of sparkling “GOLD.”

The second title track, “Imaginary Friend,” is a pop dance song that explores the concept of a fantasy friend, who can be an angel, a devil, or even a reflection of yourself. Its sweet vocal harmonies enhance the sense of imagination and protection.

Among the b-sides, “Bad Girls R Us” provides an instant boost to self-esteem with its club-like energy. The lyrics, such as “no one conquers it all like a bad girl,” add a playful and carefree vibe to the upbeat melody.

“Supernatural” expresses the thrill of being attracted to the unfamiliar. This energetic pop song balances a dreamy quality with a comforting sense of safety as it invites listeners to explore new experiences in a “Supernatural” world.

The track “FIVE” celebrates the group’s fifth anniversary, highlighting that ITZY is always better as a quintet. Its lively tempo and fun lyrics emphasize that “nothing is better than five.”

“VAY” introduces another hip-hop element to the album, featuring strong vocals and a groovy beat. This track includes a collaboration with Changbin of Stray Kids, who contributed to writing and co-composing the song.

To close the album, listeners can enjoy the final versions of “BORN TO BE,” “UNTOUCHABLE,” “Mr. Vampire,” “Dynamite,” and “Escalator.” With all five members contributing, the album consists of 11 tracks that showcase their unique voices and styles.

As ITZY takes part in choreographing both title tracks and begins to write more of their own lyrics, as they did on their previous album, they continue to find new ways to shine in their comebacks.

CINEMA PARADISE is a new era for Wakeone’s 9-member boyband born from the survival show “Boys Planet.” Only a year into their career this is ZB1’s fourth comeback, the boys have been busy. “All of the tracks included on CINEMA PARADISE are inspired by different movie genres, and with this release, ZEROBASEONE aims to ‘eternally capture’ the moments that they have enjoyed alongside their loyal fanbase, ZEROSE. Musically, CINEMA PARADISE taps into various genres ranging from electronic synth-pop, Afropop, pluggnB, and hip-hop” (Helix Publicity). This album continues to convey the growth and versatility the group has shown in just a short amount of time. The tracks include “GOOD SO BAD,” “KILL THE ROMEO,” “The Sea (ZB1 Remake),” “Insomnia,” “Road Movie,” “Eternity,” and “YURA YURA (Korean Version).” Despite the short tracklist, each song adds a new color to the album.

YURA YURA (Korean version), The Sea (a remake of the 1997 classic song by UP), and …. are all perfect for the summer to fall period we fans are in. Each song is fun and is designed to lift ZEROSE’s mood. However, taking a complete 180, “KILL THE ROMEO” is a more groovy, sexy track with choreography to match. “Insomnia” has the vibe that we got from “Dear Eclipse,” as it is an R&B-esque track but with a catchy, upbeat twist. Beginning with a heavy violin instrumental, “Road Movie” quickly changes into a rap-heavy track with hip-hop influence (but the bridge has us remembering that this is a group of talented vocalists). Lastly, “Eternity,” and “HELLO,” sit at the same table as the token vocally strong song of Cinema Paradise. It has a beautiful guitar-forward instrumental that compliments the member’s voices.

The music video for the title track “GOOD SO BAD” is the cinematic paradise Zerose were teased with. With a special appearance from famed actor Yoo Ji Tae, having starred in KDramas and movies such as “Mad Dog” and “Oldboy,” He acts as the scriptwriter for the boys, pulling the strings of their story until Hanbin cuts their connection (literally) from him. the video pays homage to multiple romantic movies such as “Love Actually” ZB1’s Gunwook describes the song’s meaning to be “I will keep loving you despite the pain” with those emotions being portrayed by the members throughout the video. Each scene is supplemented with beautiful visuals that emphasize the lyrics. While only a three-and-a-half-minute video, it packs different scenes and feelings into one, with the members showing off their acting skills. The song is a groovy, almost retro-sounding pop track that compliments ZB1’s usual sound while taking it to the next level.

With their distinctive hip-hop sound, smooth vocals, and powerful choreography, the teaser left viewers wanting more.

The eight-member boy group includes Souma, Mizuki, Tsubasa, Reia, Ryota, Takeru, Yuga, and Neo. Their name, ONE OR EIGHT, is inspired by the Japanese idiom “ICHI KA BACHI KA,” which means “all or nothing.”

“Don’t Tell Nobody” is a hip-hop-infused pop track written and produced by OneRepublic’s very own Ryan Tedder and Davis Stewart, who has co-written songs for BTS, the Jonas Brothers, among many others. The rap verses were crafted by Lucien Parker and kickhaiku. This track is an excellent introduction to the sound of ONE OR EIGHT, highlighting each member’s vocal and rapping talents.

The accompanying music video compliments the song and adds to ONE OR EIGHT’s unique concept. Directed by South Korean video director Donghyeok Seo, the music video has a futuristic and storytelling vibe. It features the eight members in stylish performance streetwear, showcasing their choreography and embodying a hip-hop aesthetic. The video conveys the group's determination to rise, with a powerful visual narrative that complements the song's themes of ambition and secrecy. Following the success of their previous album ROCK-STAR from 2023 and their collab with Charlie Puth for 2024 single “Lose My Breath,” The eight member JYP boy group is back. The 9th Mini Album consists of songs “ MOUNTAIN” “Chk Chk Boom,” “JJAM,” “I Like It,” “Runners,” “또 다시 밤 (twilight),” “Stray Kids,” “Chk Chk Boom (Festival Ver.).”

“MOUNTAIN,” “JJAM,” “Chk Chk Boom,” and “Runners”  are the sound we know and love, each containing heavy bass, experimental beats and confidence building lyrics. “I Like It” is a classic love song with a pop sound and softer vocals and raps. However, what is a Stray Kids album without a song that is groovy and more slow paced. “또 다시 밤 (twilight)” is a beautiful arrangement that prove that Stray Kids isn’t just a “noise” band, but has diverse takes on their album sounds. Lastly, “Stray Kids” is the rightful final song. This song reminds us of previous tracks from their discography  like “Voices” or “Levanter”. The song is a self empowering piece for the group itself. We get self affirming lyrics that give fans a more personal feeling of connection with the group.

The “Chk Chk Boom” music video begins with the first cameo from Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds from Marvel’s “Deadpool & Wolverine” (a nod to SKZ’s feature on the movie’s soundtrack). The duo set the scene for the boys to terrorize the city Stray Kids style while we get stunning visuals that mix the group’s style with a vigilante-esque aesthetic similar to Deadpool’s. While Stay are used to the cinematic excellence from the group, it was fun to see a new spin to their respective sound and look. The choreography for this track is high energy and groovy, a perfect combination for the innovative video.

The ZEROBASEONE boys are back with the perfect summer album. Doing what they do best, get ready to dance and sing your heart out with this one! However, ZB1 is giving Zerose a new version of themselves. ‘You Had Me At Hello’ consists of the 7 tracks “Solar POWER,” “Feel the POP,” “Dear ECLIPSE” “SWEAT,” “Sunday RIDE,” “HELLO,” and “Feel the POP” (Sped Up Version).

The members show us a new side with songs “Solar POWER” and “Dear ECLIPSE” being a pleasant change from the “usual” sound of ZB1. Where “Solar POWER” is a strong song with the members giving us their deep voices, rap, and a more hip hop beat, Dear ECLIPSE shows Zerose their rendition of an R&B sound. Both songs are showcasing a versatile artistry beyond the pop-heavy sound we are used to. Nonetheless, the boys are not leaving their exciting music behind. “SWEAT,” “Feel the POP,” and “Sunday Ride” are upbeat sounds great for enjoying the summer. Each song is a new feeling of pure happiness. Last but not least is the gorgeous sound of “HELLO,” filled with the vocals we love so much. The ballad is a beautiful final track.

The “Feel the POP” music video was actually a mystery to Zerose, as there seems to be no true theme but to enjoy the music and come along for the ride. Visuals and outfits making a complete 180, we go from western-themed fits to tennis to streetwear. However, that's the joy of the music video. It’s meant for fans to see multiple charms and how the members look in each setting. The song and choreo are just as fun, with easy-to-learn moves Zerose can dance to. Along with the “Feel The Pop” music video, Zerose got a pre-released treat with the “Special Summer Video” version of “Sweat.” We see our 9 members dancing and singing in the summer sun. Much like the “Yura Yura” music video, the boys show their charms directly to Zerose through the camera. The music video is meant to be fun rather than tell a story, with the boys just enjoying each other’s company. The choreography is well executed but definitely will make you sweat if you try to learn it! Start your summer break by blasting this album on the radio!

[First Listen] 청춘의 포말 (YOUTH): A Tear-jerking Debut From NCT’s Doyoung

For years NCT fans have adored and cried over the vocals Doyoung has given us. The 28 year old and member of SM Entertainment’s ever changing boy group “NCT” has finally blessed us with his first album “청춘의 포말 (YOUTH)”. The album consist of 10 beautifully written and sung songs: “Beginning (새봉의 노래),” “From Little Wave (나의 바다에게),” “Time Machine” (feat. Taeyeon, Mark), “Serenade (내가 됐으면 해),” “Rewind (끝에서 다시),” “Warmth (온기),” “Lost In California,” “Rest (쉼표),” “Dallas Love Field (댈러스 러브 필드).” The title track of the album is “Little Light (반딧불).”

Doyoung’s album stands out among NCT’s solo albums because it encapsulates a story through songs and the gorgeous vocals we know and love. Even before the release, the concept photos for the album set the calming tone for the album. Rather than a high energy or rap heavy album, fans are met with an album crafted to put us in our feelings (in a good way) through a variety of ballads, R&B, a little rock, and even a bit of a groovy  vibes. From the vocals, lyrics, imagery, and Doyoung’s handsome face, this album goes beyond what we hoped for.

The music video for the title track “Little Light (반딧불)” depicts Doyoung on the hunt for the little light (symbolized as a firefly in both lyrics and visual) that keeps alluding him. Singer Doyoung stands in an empty field and sings lyrics about said light shining on him and giving him the energy to shine beyond life itself. Despite how hard he runs, it isn’t until the end of the music video that he is met with more light than he expected. The contrasting darkness and light in the music video creates perfect imagery for the song and the album itself. However, it’s only the beginining to Doyoung’s artistry.

Show Doyoung some love on his debut and follow The B.E.L.U Lineup for all things music and media!

[Comeback] Xikers Unleashes Powerful Energy with 3rd Mini Album "HOUSE OF TRICKY: Trial and Error"

Xikers, the rookie 10-member boy group from KQ Entertainment, has once again set the K-Pop scene ablaze with their 3rd mini album, "HOUSE OF TRICKY: Trial and Error." Following their explosive debut with "HOUSE OF TRICKY: Doorbell Ringing" in March 2023, the group continues to captivate K-Pop fans with their electrifying performances and infectious energy.

Comprising members Minjae, Junmin, Sumin, Jinsik, Hyunwoo, Hunter, Junghoon, Seeun, Yujun, and Yechan, Xikers has quickly established themselves as a powerhouse in the industry. Their dedicated fanbase, affectionately known as Roady, has been eagerly anticipating their latest release.

"HOUSE OF TRICKY: Trial and Error" features six dynamic tracks, including a 34-second instrumental that sets the tone for the EP’s electrifying journey. Notably, members Minjae, Yechan, Sumin, along with ATEEZ's Hong Joong, contributed to the songwriting process, infusing their personal touch into the EP.

The mini album's hard-hitting title track, "We Don't Stop," immediately grabs attention with its loud energetic blend of hip-hop, rock, and punk elements. The hook, repeating the words "round and round" at the song's introduction and before each chorus, effectively builds anticipation for what's to come. Yet, nothing quite prepares the listener for the ending like Sumin's confident "We don't stop man." As the track draws to a close, there's a notable shift in tempo as the beat slows down, transitioning into a hip-hop melody with all members chanting together.

Let’s talk about the MV! The accompanying music video for this “We Don’t Stop” quickly made waves, reaching an impressive 10 million views within the first 24 hours of its release, and the  visuals match the energy of the song incredibly well. We got Hunter knocking on a door to the beat of the song, Yechan playing a guitar that is on fire, Sumin sitting on a pile of denim pants, Seeun and Junmin on top of a fuse box of a lamppost among many other unique scenes. The choreography appears to be hip-hop inspired just like the track and viewers get to enjoy a great part of it in the MV as well.

The b-sides on this EP are just as good as the title track, but no ballads! “Red Sun,” “Supercalifragilistic,” and “Every Flavor Jelly” all share a blend of EDM and hip-hop with strong rap verses, while “Break A Leg” is more of a pop-rock track with heartfelt lyrics. Xikers' decision to not include a ballad track on their EP is intriguing, and it adds to the overall cohesion of the album.

Despite their relatively short time in the spotlight, the group has already embarked on a world tour, dropped three mini albums, and carved out their unique sound. According to Hanteo Chart, "HOUSE OF TRICKY: Trial And Error" sold the highest amount of copies within the first week of its release in their career with a total of 224,437 albums, solidifying Xikers' status as a powerhouse in the K-Pop industry. "HOUSE OF TRICKY: Trial and Error" is a testament to their talent and creativity, making it a must-listen for K-Pop enthusiasts everywhere.

The 9 member boy group ZEROBASEONE or ZB1 has finally made their Japanese debut and Yura Yura is all Zerose could’ve wished for! Based on the groups last two albums, we know to expect a refreshing sound from the group and Yura Yura is just that. In both sound and music video we get a lovely depiction of the sweet artistry the members produce. The single is a pop song with an upbeat instrumental filled with strong drum and guitar beats. ZB1 continues to showcase their immense talent with each member giving us gorgeous vocals that match the sound perfectly. Fans also receive a beautiful song that they can dance to! The band-heavy sound is new for the members but done extremely well, making a perfect start to future Japanese singles they release.

The music video is just as heartwarming as the track, with the members depicted as school students. The bright tones in the video are a fun contrast to the dark tones from Crush, reverting back to the refreshing feeling we got from In Bloom. It’s proof the group can pull of any concept. Zerose can expect to blush with the boy crush feeling this music video produces. Each member giving the fans their prettiest smiles and swoon worthy expressions. The clothes and choreography match the tone of the song, vibrant and easy going. This is something to enjoy when you feel down. The bright vibe is a great start to spring and will give you an instant energy boost !

[Comeback] Tapping His Way Into Your Heart, Taeyong Returns with 2nd Mini Album, ‘Tap’

Taeyong, one of SM Entertainment’s groundbreaking NCT members, has brought Nctzens a fun treat with Tap, his 2nd mini album and first comeback. The album consists of six tracks “Moon Tour,” “Run Away,” “APE,” 404 Loading,” “나에게 했던 것과 같이 (Ups & Downs),” and title track “TAP.” The album is beautifully designed and continues to showcase the bold expression Taeyong has always had in his solo work. The album’s songs also give Nctzens a closer look into the versatility Taeyong brings as an artist.

In the “TAP” music video we get the quirkiness we’ve always loved from Taeyong. We find him in multiple scenarios (and hair colors) where he’s shaking up his reality, or as he says, “saucing on it”. The music video pairs perfectly with the upbeat and experimental hip-hop sound NCT is known for. Taeyong takes us on a colorful journey both visually and audibly.

This album is a perfect follow-up to SHALALA, however, TAP is even more exciting and represents the formula we are familiar within NCT’s music, but with a twist that is distinctly Taeyong’s. You can expect to be surprised by his ability to create a variety of sounds that blend together perfectly in each track of this album.

Show Taeyong love for  “TAP” and follow The B.E.L.U Lineup for the latest in K music!
